Meet the Operations Guy

From behind the wheel to the executive suite, I bring hands-on experience and strategic insight to every operations challenge.

My journey in operations began with a commitment to academic perseverance. After earning my GED in 1998, I pursued higher education with a focus on finding my niche within the business world. While I initially explored Accounting and Marketing at Ball State University, it was my first Operations Management course that defined my career path. I graduated with a B.S. in Operations Management, fueled by a genuine passion for process efficiency.

During my undergraduate years, I balanced the demands of a growing family with full-time work as a lead kitchen team member and even walked onto the NCAA Division 1 Football team during the spring season. These experiences instilled in me a rigorous work ethic and the ability to thrive under high-pressure environments.

Driven by a desire to master the logistics industry from the ground up, I obtained my Class A CDL and transitioned into professional driving. My experience in the field was diverse, ranging from transporting hazardous materials to OTR (Over-the-Road) team driving for FedEx Ground.

To bridge the gap between field execution and executive strategy, I enrolled in an MBA program at Indiana Wesleyan University. During this time, I operated as an owner-operator, leasing a tractor and refrigerated trailer to gain firsthand experience in the financial and operational challenges of the trucking industry. My graduate research focused on a comparative analysis of the three logistics giants: USPS, FedEx, and UPS. I successfully completed my MBA in 2017.
